Balansen mellan fruktan och hopp.
En tjänare skall både vara rädd och hoppful i måttlighet. Ingen egenskap utav dem skall överskrida den andra, men i fallet om man blir sjuk, ska hans hopp vara mer intensivt. De textliga bevisen från Allâhs Bok och från Profetens [Sallallahu 'aleihi wa Sallam] Sunnah stödjer detta. Allâh säger;
"Did they then feel secure against the Plan of Allah. None feels secure from the Plan of Allah except the people who are the losers." [Surah Al-A'raf, 7:99]
يَوْمَ تَبْيَضُّ وُجُوهٌ وَتَسْوَدُّ وُجُوهٌ فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ اسْوَدَّتْ وُجُوهُهُمْ أَكْفَرْتُم بَعْدَ إِيمَانِكُمْ فَذُوقُواْ الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ
"On the Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) when some faces will become white and some faces will become black; as for those whose faces will become black (to them will be said): "Did you reject Faith after accepting it? Then taste the torment (in Hell) for rejecting Faith." [Surah Al-'Imran, 3:106]
وَإِذْ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكَ لَيَبْعَثَنَّ عَلَيْهِمْ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ مَن يَسُومُهُمْ سُوءَ الْعَذَابِ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَسَرِيعُ الْعِقَابِ وَإِنَّهُ لَغَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
"And (remember) when your Lord declared that He would certainly keep on sending against them (i.e. the Jews), till the Day of Resurrection, those who would afflict them with a humiliating torment. Verily, your Lord is Quick in Retribution (for the disobedient, wicked) and certainly He is OftForgiving, Most Merciful (for the obedient and those who beg Allah's Forgiveness)." [Surah Al-A'raf, 7:167]
إِنَّ الْأَبْرَارَ لَفِينَعِيمٍ وَإِنَّ الْفُجَّارَ لَفِي جَحِيمٍ
"Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell)." [Surah Al-Infitaar, 82:13-14]
فَأَمَّا مَنثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِينُهُ فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٍ رَّاضِيَةٍ وَأَمَّا مَنْخَفَّتْ مَوَازِينُهُ فَأُمُّهُ هَاوِيَةٌ
"Then as for him whose balance (of good deeds) will be heavy, He will live a pleasant life (in Paradise). But as for him whose balance (of good deeds) will be light, He will have his home in Hawiyah (pit, i.e. Hell)."
[Surah Al-Qari'ah, 101:6-9]

Återberättad av Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri [radiyAllâhu 'anhu]: Allâhs Sändebud [Sallallahu 'aleihi wa Sallam] sa: "När begravningen är klar och männen bär den avlidne personen på sina axlar, om den avlidne var rättfärdig kommer den att säga: "För fram mig [fort]," och om han inte var rättfärdig kommer den säga: "Bedrövelse över mig! Vart tar de mig?" Dens röst kommer att bli hörd av varje varelse förutom människan. Hade människan hört det skulle han ha svimmat." [Al-Bukhari]
